Damascus Square tells the story of a spy who falls in love with his fake life, endangering himself and his mission. Inspired by the story of Eli Cohen, the famous Israeli spy who worked for the Mossad in Syria in the 1950s and 60s, DAMASCUS SQUARE asks to whom we owe our loyalty: our country, our family, or ourselves? Can these even be separated?
Prepare yourself for an espionage journey in the Middle East! Damascus Square had its first public reading at the Metropolitan Room in New York City and was thereafter presented at a special Gala Performance at the United Nations on September 6th, 2012. Additional performance venues have included The Waldorf Astoria Hotel and the popular Broadway supper club, 54 Below. Damascus Square remains in development for a future Broadway Theater release.
